Just wanted to say, the MeFi's post on the Obama Nobel win did not hold a candle to yours, brandonb. Wish you'd gotten there first. Took them most of a very lengthy thread to even find any of the links you put in the body of the post.

On the comments page, there is now a list of Related Posts in the sidebar, underneath the Tags. The related posts are found based on the tags in the original post and ranked via the number of clicks the each related post has received.

Let me know if you come across problems.

There's a sidebar on the homepage which lasts the last ten comments made across the site, with a permalink tothe comment and the first few words of the comment, with HTML stripped out.

I've been going back and forth about having a contest for PoliticalFilter. It would be a Best Post of the (insert time period here), with cash given to the winner and second place (probably $50 for the winner and $25 for second place. The results would be judged by me. The purpose would be to have some fun and encourage more people to post.

What do you think? Good idea? Bad idea?

For accessibility purposes. I normally navigate MetaFilter and MetaChat without using a mouse. The easiest way to open the comments on a particular thread that has seven comments is to type "'7 c" which will find the first link text beginning with "7 c." I can't do that here because the link text does not include the number of comments. Would you consider changing the way things work here to match?
